Who are we?
Access Tibet Tour(ATT) is a local Tibet travel agency and tour operator based in Lhasa, Tibet, specializing in travel services in and around Tibet. We are Tibet specialists. We live here and know this land – the geography, the local amenities (hotels, restaurants, museums, shops), and the people, their culture and religion. We give you up-to-date information, not stole tips from the tour books. And all this at an unbeatable price.
We are based in Lhasa; We know Tibet better than any other tour operator.
We have been operating inbound travel services for travelers from all over the world (mostly English-speaking countries) since 1991.
We are the local tour operator of several world-renowned travel companies, including OAT (Overseas Adventure Travel), Uniworld, Viking Tour,China Odyssey Tours, China plus, China Discovery Tours, RITZ Tours, and Collette..
We have explored every corner of Tibet and we know how to design the best Tibet trips.
We have a long-established relationship with the hotels, restaurants, and transportation companies of Tibet, and can provide guaranteed service at a lower price. As a local tour operator, the prices of our Tibet tours are regularly 10%-20% lower than our competitors from Chinese cities like Chengdu, Shanghai, Guilin, Beijing, etc., and 15%-25% lower than overseas travel agents or wholesalers.
We don't sell inflexible packages whose restrictions keep you from traveling your own way.
We allow you to customize your trip to help you get the most out of Tibet.
Notice: Foreign travelers are not allowed to travel independently in Tibet according to the policy of the government of China. Your visit must be arranged by a travel agency whether you travel in a group or individually. Access Tibet Tour is a full service tour operator, with a full Chinese government-issued license to operate in Tibet. We are uniquely qualified to help you plan your perfect trip to Tibet.
How to make bookings?
After receiving your inquiry, we will work out an ideal tour itinerary and take proper price under the full understanding of your requirements (we might have some questions). When we finally meet your demand, it's time for you to book your Tibet trip by communicating with us. Here are some easy steps to book a tour with Access Tibet Tour:
1)Send an email to tell us whether you accept the tour itinerary and price that we provided (including inclusions and exclusions);
2)Reservations and Payments. We strongly suggest you to book your Tibet tour at least 45 days before your arrival date, especially in the peak season of August and September. Below is our reservation policy.
a.If the booking is made two months (60 days) prior to your arrival in Lhasa, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost plus transportation fares (flight/train) is required to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us.
b.If the booking is made within two months (60 days), but 15 days prior to your arrival in Lhasa, a deposit of 50% of the total tour cost plus transportation fares (flight, train)is required to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us.
c.If the booking is made within 15 days prior to your arrival in Lhasa, you are required to pay in full. That is, the total tour cost and transportation fares. Every effort has been made to produce pricing information accurately. We reserve the right to correct errors.
3)At the time you pay the deposit, we also need to know some information of every member in order to apply for your Tibet travel permit:
- -full name;
- -gender;
- -date of birth;
- -passport number;
- -nationality;
-all your personal information should be exactly the same as on your passport. And you need to tell us your occupation because journalists, government officials, and people who work in Embassy could be revoked (they need more complicated procedure to get a permit). * Please fax us or send by email a clear copy of each member's passport and China visa to us at (86)891-6830371; then write in email to your travel advisor the above 6 items (the fax copy may not be clear enough to recognize so email writing is necessary).
4)Once we receive your deposit, we will make all the reservations according to your itinerary within one week. We will send you a confirmation letter when all the bookings are secured. At this time all you need to do is to pack up for your lifetime trip to Tibet!

The responsibility of ATT and its affiliated companies is strictly limited. As a tour operator, ATT organizes, promotes, and sells tour programs consisting of travel services including surface, air, and water transportation, sightseeing excursions, and cruise/hotel accommodations which ATT purchases or reserves from various suppliers. ATT does not own or operate any of these Suppliers. The Suppliers providing travel services for ATT’s tour programs are independent contractors, and are not agents or employees of ATT. As such, ATT is not responsible for any negligent or willful act, or failure to act, of any supplier or third party. Some tours include visits to shops and merchants. ATT is not responsible for any purchases you make during your trip, whether that merchant is part of the scheduled itinerary or not. By utilizing the travel services of the Suppliers, you agree hold responsible such Suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss incurred by you or to those traveling with you, and that neither ATT nor any representative of ATT shall be liable.
Without limitation, ATT is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience in connection with the provision of, or failure to provide, any goods or services occasioned by or resulting from—but not limited to—acts of God or force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation or for the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, or for any other cause beyond the direct control of ATT.
ATT reserves the right to correct promotional or pricing errors at any time, or to increase the program price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, cruise fares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases, taxes, or fuel surcharges. ATT reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour or to cancel or alter the tour without notice, in which event your sole remedy shall be a prorated refund for any remaining portions of the trip. Hotels and other accommodations are subject to change.

Air Arrangements
Any penalties resulting from flight changes made at your request after flights are booked will be your responsibility. If you cancel your trip after receiving your tickets, you must return your tickets to ATT before your refund (if applicable) is processed.

Medical Issues
You must advise us in writing, at or prior to booking, of any physical, emotional or mental condition which may require professional attention during the trip or may require the use of special equipment. If you fail to disclose any such conditions, ATT may refuse to allow you to participate in the tour, and you will forfeit the cost of the tour; in such event we shall have no liability, financial or otherwise.
If you have any of these conditions, you must bring and be responsible for all necessary items related to your condition. If any such condition arises after the trip is booked, you must advise us in writing immediately. Failure to advise us shall release ATT and all professional personnel from any liability related to such condition or its treatment.

We cannot guarantee any wheelchair assistance or accessibility in international destinations. ATT reserves the right to decline any trip participant whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other participants.
